The citizens "are" the government, "our" government, is supposed to represent "us". When "government" becomes too large and powerful, it becomes tyrannical and feeds on the people "us". And that is what we have today, a merciless, tyrannical government, out of touch and out of control. I just happen to be one of those people, that the federal government slammed the door on. I am one in 100,000 people to have a rare, inoperable spinal tumor. I use marijuana medicinally for the pain and other symptoms of the tumor and spinal injuries, I suffered during an auto accident. I feel, that like the 2nd amendment to the consitution, that states our right to bear arms, shall not be infringed upon, neither should a our choice of medicine to keep us alive and healthy. We cannot pursue life, liberty or happiness when we are ill and kept from the medicine we need to stay healthy and feeling good. I have watched how greedy politicians, judges, attorneys, physicians, pharmaceutical companies and corporations, have ripped our constitution to shreds, to suit whatever the flavor of the presidency may be. Common sense has been tossed aside like yesterday's news and the almighty dollar and political favoritism of those clawing their way to the top, twist and distort laws, even if they harm human life. The shortage of fuel, ecological disasters, shortages of food and grain, deforestation, sound, proven natural , non-addictive medicine and hundreds of other good reasons to grow and use marijuana, not to mention the enormous boost to the job market and the economy, is what"WE NEED"to do and should be doing. Many battles have been fought in unjust courts, very little has been gained. It is time, for like minds to gather, on common ground, toward a common goal and seceed from the United States Corporation of Amierca and do what we KNOW to be right and just for ourselves, our enviroment, for others and for future generations to come.
