The citizens that died that awful and tragic day are well cared for in their heavenly home.
God is taking good care of them.
But the "Survivors" of this fateful day are still coping with a loss that will never heal.
On this day, in 2001, I was awakend by a phone call from a friend who shouted "we are at war!"
"Somebody has attacked us.....get up! Go to your T.V.!", "I can't believe what is happening!" she said.
Of course I jumped and ran to the den where my Mother (who has alzheimers) was sitting and she was
watching, most likely thinking it was a movie. I sat down in the chair beside her and began praying, and
trying to explain to her what had happened. Of course she did not understand but she knew something
was seriously wrong, I am sure. It was about 9:15 a.m.
I remember saying to Mom that I was glad that my Father, a WWII Veteran was "not alive to see this". "It would
have tore him apart". He had died on June 22 of the same year.
I called my husband home from work, and we went shopping. We purchased a generator, and enough supplies
to last a month. We still have supplies....Because you never know what is going to happen next.
We used to feel safe in our Country. But now things have changed. We are no longer "untouchable".
AND THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT "SECURE" US FROM OUR PREDATORS, NO MATTER HOW MANY
RESTRICTIONS THEY PUT ON OUR PRIVACY.
If 9/11 taught me anything besides grief, it was that we are responsible for our own "security".
You cannot "fence us in", or "tap our communication devices" enough to "secure" the entire country.
It is important that everyone realizes this. Then and only then can we begin to realize just what our
Leaders are attemping to accomplish.
There are many theories as to how 9/11 actually came to be. But it does not matter which theory you subscribe
to, the end result is still the same...We must "secure ourselves".
Do not ever make the mistake of thinking that the U.S. Government can protect us from either "foreign
nor domestic enemies".
The Second Amendment which protects our "right to bear arms" is the core of our democracy.
We must retain this right to protect our very lives.
Maybe, just maybe, if one of those passengers on one of those planes had had access to a weapon, things
may have turned out a little differently. We will never know. But if the bravery of the passengers on flight 93
is any indication, I would be willing to bet that things would have turned out different.
On this day, we should remember prayfully the victims of 9/11.
And then think about and plan for the day in which you may be involved in a similar attach, either "foreign
or domestic". Keep your family close to your heart, and your plans for survival close by.
Hope for the best in life, but expect the worst, and then you will be pleasantly surprised if you make it through
the day without a catastrophe happening.
On this day, we will remember our countrymen who gave their lives on flight 93 to attempt to save our way of
life. And on this day, we will remember all those lives that were lost, for NO valid reason, other than to cause
panic and instability in our way of life.
For what reasons, we may never know the full truth, just as we have never known the full truth concerning JFK.
But always remember that God and Smith and Wesson will forever fight for us!
