Rapper Warren G. whose given name is Warren Griffin III, was arrested along with his driver, Ryan Butler in L.A. this morning.

They were pulled over by police for running a redlight near Hollywood Blvd., and Wilcox Ave, at about 1:40am, at which time the police searched the car and found "enough marijuana to arrest them for possession with intent to sell" per the L.A. Times.

Both were required to post a $20,000.00 bond and were released at approximately 9:30am.

Rapper Warren G. is most noted for his hit "REGULATE" and a remake of "I Shot The Sheriff" and is known for popularizing "G-FUNK" Rap, a West Coast brand of "Hip Hop".
